There’s a leadership crisis in healthcare, and it’s time that changes.
For decades, there have been circular conversations about the same problems. For example, the issue of interoperability has been discussed for upwards of 30 years and remains a hot topic across healthcare. Yet, there’s been little progress in reaching an industry-wide consensus on how we can integrate technology and automated solutions to optimize health outcomes.

Hello everyone, and welcome to another installment of the Madaket Minute. My name is Martin Cody, SVP of Sales and Marketing for Madaket Health, and in this Minute I want to talk to you a little bit about what I see as a crisis of leadership, or rather a lack of leadership in the healthcare industry.
I recently attended the Becker’s Payers conference in Chicago and I walked into several of the breakouts, and some of the conversations that were being had by panelists and audience members, it was like I walked into a time machine. This is déjà vu. We’ve been discussing some of these issues for 15, 20, 30 years. How are these not getting resolved? For some context, think about 1962. JFK gives a speech at the Rice University campus in Houston and says, “We are going to send a man to the moon and bring him back safely.” That was concluded seven years later with the Apollo 11 mission. We’ve been talking about interoperability for 30 years. What is taking so long?
Do we have great leaders in healthcare? I am very interested in your comments because I think the more we can lead and the more we can make decisions faster and iterate, we elevate the industry as a whole. Please share your comments and thank you for listening to the minute.
